Praxis Supported by White Rock Real Estate

Yesterday's Praxis Photography Collective show at our Macdonald Realty White Rock office was a success. The event highlighted both the talent of local photographers and the community's interest in the arts. Since its start in March, the Praxis Photography Collective has quickly gained recognition. Their first show, "The Launch," showcased at our waterfront office, has been well received. The collective combines practical action with artistic innovation, engaging the local community effectively.

Who are the Photographers?

The exhibit features five artists: Barbara Cooper, Gary Kennedy, Jan Lyle, George Omorean, and Linda Bickerton-Ross. Each artist presents a unique style, from intimate street scenes to abstract digital art. Cooper's works, for example, mix travel with a love for architecture, while Kennedy combines photography with encaustic art, finding beauty in everyday scenes.

Jan Lyle stands out with her cellphone photography, turning everyday sights into art. Her work demonstrates that artistry is not bound by the medium but by the vision of the artist. George Omorean and Linda Bickerton-Ross push traditional photography boundaries. Omorean's work delves into digital and camera-less photography, while Bickerton-Ross explores documentary and abstract photography, focusing on the changing landscapes of White Rock.

What if you Missed the Show?

The show will continue at our Macdonald Realty office in White Rock. We encourage those interested in local art and photography to visit. For more details and to view the exhibit, please contact us at 604-376-7687.
