This holiday season will look a little different this year. With most of us unable to go to Christmas activities or parties, we will be spending much more time indoors with our loved ones. Here are some fun holiday activities, inspired by Good Housekeeping, to do this holiday season.

Make Holiday Cookies

Baking cookies together is a great family activity that is fun and makes your house smell delicious. Don’t forget to make sure you have holiday themed cookie cutters, frostings, and decorations ready before you start. To add an extra element, you could have decorating competitions or make cookies to give away as gifts.

Read a Christmas Book

Reading a book with your little ones is a wonderful way to get in the Christmas spirit. Let the kids pick out a book and read it to them while eating some yummy holiday snacks… maybe even the cookies you made together!

Decorate as festively as possible

You are going to be spending quite a lot of time at home this holiday season. It would be fun and festive to make your home a winter wonderland. You can order fun decorations online or open your craft drawer and make your own. Not only is this festive, but it is also a great activity to do with the kids.

Put on Your Christmas Jammies and Watch a Christmas Movie

Nothing is cozier than a comfy pair of Christmas jammies, even better, buy family jammies so you all match. Watching a movie is the perfect way to spend cozy evenings at home this holiday season. For extra flair, you could start a holiday movie tradition or wear matching holiday jammies or start the festivities early and watch a matinee. Just don’t forget the yummy snacks and drinks.

Mix a Warm Drink

For the grownups, you can experiment with festive winter flavors that taste amazing in cocktails (or mocktails). Find a delicious recipe online and whip up a batch of drinks. A warm cocktail is a cozy way to celebrate the season.

Look at Christmas lights

If the weather is nice, you can go old school and walk around the neighborhood to look at everyone's Christmas lights. If it's a bit chilly, take the car and listen to Christmas music.
